NFWSC aims to be more than just a builder of homes – we are a builder of communities. We manage the properties we develop, often making a lasting improvement in, and changing the character of, the neighborhoods in which we develop homes. We currently manage a portfolio of 30 amenity-rich properties in our five-state region.
Property management, to Cesar Chavez Foundation , is more than just collecting rent. Our goal is to set high standards of living for hard-working families. To reach this goal, we focus on two objectives:
- Maintaining facilities and grounds that are safe (both day and night), clean, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing. Our properties address our residents’ basic needs and much more: each of our developments includes onsite community services, amenities including playgrounds, swimming pools, and computer labs, and special accommodations to address disabilities, language/cultural differences, and transportation needs.
- Protecting Cesar Chavez Foundation ’s social investment to ensure that we can provide affordable housing for decades to come. We achieve this through preventive maintenance, ongoing upgrades, and close screening of applicants to identify stable, reliable, and community-minded families.
NFWSC Property Managers receive extensive staff development that teaches them how to identify community needs and provide holistic service, beyond rent checks and repairs. We hold regular meetings for all residents covering issues such as safety and compliance. We also host events for families and friends and work closely with our Si Se Puede Learning Centers to involve families in their children's lives and education.
